Frequently asked questions
Quick answers about files, lead times, materials, tolerances and how we work. Still unsure? Contact our engineering team directly.
Send your 3D model in STEP, IGES, STL, OBJ or native CAD formats (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, etc.). For CNC parts, a drawing with tolerances helps us quote accurately. We return a quote with DFM feedback, usually within hours.
Most prototypes are produced in 3–7 working days, with 72-hour express options available for time-critical programs. Final lead time depends on process, material, finishing and order size.
Typical values: CNC ±0.02 mm, SLA ±0.1 mm, SLS ±0.2 mm, metal 3D printing ±0.1 mm, vacuum casting ±0.2 mm. Exact tolerance is confirmed during DFM review and depends on geometry and material.
Files are handled under NDA with restricted access. Your design and ownership remain yours; we do not use or share customer files without permission.
No — we regularly produce single prototypes. Our processes also scale to low-volume runs of several hundred pieces via SLS, vacuum casting or CNC.
We ship worldwide by express courier (DHL, FedEx, UPS) with tracking. Packaging and documentation are prepared for international delivery.
It depends on the part. SLA for detail and smooth surfaces, SLS for strong functional nylon, metal printing for end-use metal, CNC for tight tolerances, and vacuum casting for low-volume copies. Send your file and we'll recommend the best fit.
