SLS Nylon Printing
Selective Laser Sintering fuses nylon powder into strong, fully dense parts — no support structures needed. That makes it ideal for functional testing and small-batch production.
Complex geometry, no supports, production-grade strength
Because the unsintered powder supports the part during printing, SLS handles interlocking parts, internal channels and organic shapes that would be impossible to machine. Parts are tough enough for snap-fits, hinges and end-use enclosures.
- No support structures — frees up design complexity
- PA12 / PA11 with good chemical and fatigue resistance
- Glass-filled grades for added stiffness
- Cost-effective for batches from 1 to 200 pieces
Process parameters
| Technology | SLS (Selective Laser Sintering) of nylon powder |
| Materials | PA12, PA11 (bio-based), PA12 glass-filled (GF) |
| Typical tolerance | ±0.2 mm (±0.3 mm for parts over 100 mm) |
| Layer thickness | 0.10 – 0.15 mm |
| Max build size | Up to ~360 × 360 × 600 mm (machine-dependent) |
| Post-processing | Depowder, bead-blast, dye, coat, insert press |
| Best for | Functional parts, enclosures, jigs, small batches |
Functional prototypes
Test fit, strength and lifecycle before committing to tooling.
End-use enclosures
Durable housings for electronics and instruments.
Jigs & fixtures
Factory tooling printed on demand.
Living hinges
Integral flexible features in a single part.
Small batches
10–200 pieces without the cost of injection tooling.
Spare parts
Obsolete or low-demand parts, made as needed.
